The Blitz
Phone Art.
One evening a friend and I were in my garden when I remarked on the really beautiful sunset. The bright red sky was due to the fires in London after Germany had bombed the Docks in 1940
It was a spectacular and memorable sight.

One lived day to day. One didn't think of tomorrow until you got there. And, in the morning, we said: "Thank God we are here."

In London, people were always fearful. When the Blitz ended, we said we could finally breathe. .
